Is it my imagination or does it seem like more and more of these “townhalls” are getting rather hostile?

Nope, I've thought so also. Just wait if this monstrosity gets passed and folks find out the govt plans to kill grandma.

In any event, what I'm seeing is good news! It'll be even better when the pitchforks and torches come out along with the heckling and boos. Shoot, I'll even take rotten vegetables, or a bucket of tar and a feather pillow.

Three weeks ago, I went to my Congresscritter Todd Platts’s Townhall meeting in Gettysburg. This was the day after Cap & Trade passed, along with the 300 page early morning amendment, and not only was Platts torqued off, but the audience as well. At least he was on the right side of the issue, but there were a few liberal loons in the audience who had to be smacked down.

Pretty soon they will either eliminate that format or start bringing heavy security with them. The climate is such that something is going to happen, at some point. People are pissed at this unbridled lust for power and control and ultimately the fall of the U.S.A

More and more are getting video-taped, thats for sure! But it's actually a great way to protest. It doesn't require anything but the courage or your convictions and ability to craft a short cutting remark or question.

No, I've noticed the same thing. This is a good thing, IMO.

This is what we and all Americans need to do. Find out the Townhall and get neighbors, relatives and friends there to tell them what we think. You need to show up with as many people as possible so you do not feel intimidated. Bring a video camera too for any youtube moments plus the traitors will know we are not forgetting what they are doing.

If a friend, relative or co-workers starts bitching about the country imploding. Tell them we are all going to the next townhall. This is the best way to get in their face.

Citizens marching with torches. Bring copies of a birth certificate and The Constitution.

It's not, and they are.

I predict we won't see many more town hall meetings.

Yes, and it is about D@MN time!

Remember, American polls showed that we thought we were on the wrong track before Obama was elected. The problem is that the Dems thought America was complaining about going too far right - WRONG! They are realizing that America was complaining that BOTH the Reps and Dems are taking us too far LEFT!

Of course, truth never gets in the way of a good politician (especially Dems) and they took this out of control freight train off the tracks to the LEFT! Watch it rumble, bumble and burn!!!

It seems they are... but Obama doesn’t care. I think the reason he doesn’t care is rooted in what they found in Honduras........ did you know the deposed President had computers in the residence pre-loaded with votes for him? Certainly this is how Chavez keeps winning in Venezuela (the machines are made there) and most of the machines we use here are made in Venezuela..... put in context with ACORN and goons at polling places and there is a future pattern here.

You say it like its a bad thing, J/K. The more fear instilled into these D.C. oligarchs, the better.
