That’s exactly my view. I voted for Romney in the primary as the best of a lot of bad options. He could at least articulate a message. After he has continued supporting RomneyCare as a success in recent weeks, I reject him as a viable option. Palin has potential, but has to earn it.

This is why I hate polling. Romney may indeed poll stronger than Palin, but I think that his 45% is 'soft'. This is why we got McCain: a lot of people (ie. not Republicans) would say that they 'liked' McCain -- hence better poll numbers -- but when push-came-to-shove they didn't actually vote for the guy. So on the strength of McCain's early polling, he becomes the Republican nominee only to get his @ss handed to him in the general election.
Republicans need to stop playing the game by Democrat rules. We should adopt a caucus system for picking our delegates in any state that insists on an "open primary" or allows "cross-over" voting.
