If it can’t be expressed in figures, it is not science;
it is opinion.
It has long been known that one horse can run faster
than another, but which one?
Differences are crucial.
A fake fortuneteller can be tolerated.
But an authentic soothsayer should be shot on sight.
Cassandra did not get half the kicking around she
deserved.
Delusions are often functional.
A mother’s opinions about her children’s beauty,
intelligence, goodness. et cetera, ad nauseum,
keep her from drowning them at birth.
Most “scientists” are bottle washers and button sorters.

Dr. Jerry Bergman preaches a great sermon. Sorry about the snoring.
Welcome aboard FR!
Good post, but you’re supposed to put the actual title in the title box. You can, however, editorialize in parenthesis in the title box if there’s room. Here’s an example:

Also, in the future, if you post a creation or ID article/paper, feel free to give me a ping and I’ll ping my FR creation list.
All the best—GGG
That article says Margaret Burbidge was sidelined for her views on cosmology. While there are certainly problems with the big bang theory, Burbridge is still a professor emeritus at UCSD. This woman was born in 1919, and she and her husband were awarded the Royal Astronomical Society’s gold medal in 2005.
Perhaps she is not so active academically because she’s going to be 90 next month. Her husband is only in his mid-eighties, and was recently awarded the Bruce Medal by the Astronomical Society of the Pacific. Other notable winners of that award include Hoyle, Poincare, Hale, Hubble, Schwarzschild, Chandrasekhar, and Margaret Burbidge.
Were I an astronomer, I would wish to be sidelined in such a fashion. This book is manufacturing a claim to get attention.
It would appear there is a new creationist in town :o)
PS I added “creation, evolution, intelligentdesign, science” to your keywords. Between those four key words, posts tend to get a lot more views.
as in the reaction to "Climate Change"
‘Anthropogenic global warming, evolution, big bang, etc.’
Heliocentricity... germ theory.
He started off good with his list but man did it fall apart fast.
Amen for this wonderful piece!
Everything I’ve seen written by this author leads me to believe that Dr. Jerry Bergman is one of America’s premiere scientific minds, in a world where good scientific ethics are over a century gone.
In a time when “science” says unborn babies are descendants of pond goo, the universe began from a spinning dot that just ‘decided’ to explode, the firmament of heaven is nothing more than quantum particles zipping around each other and the (very real) terror of hell below is just the rumbling of ‘magma and plate tectonics’, it’s wonderful to see a great mind stand for real scientific truth. Bravo, Dr. Bergman!
