If we could get millions of Americans to march on Washington, what would we do?

Very succintly written Mr. Robinson and so many others share this deeply felt, fiercely held belief system. One of the concerns that I’ve expressed, is getting us all in one place. With the insanity going on, what in your opinion, would prevent this monster from calling in armed troops/thugs and killing us, or at the very least, herding us into prisons where we would never see the light of day again?
This event is no secret and is on the minds of many. The brazeness of this current government is astonishing and they are ‘pro-death’ anyway.
Very interested to hear if you’ve addressed this issue in your writings/thoughts.

Unemployment will have to be dealt with at the state and local levels. Guess a whole shitpot load of ex government workers will be desperately seeking to learn a trade or learn how to establish lemonade or shoeshine stands.

Houston, we have a problem.

“government’s long train of abuses and usurpations”

You have a certain amount of folks here who know what these are. You have other folks here, who agree, but can’t list them all. I fall into the latter group. It’s exhausting work.

But I think there’s a lot of soaring and borderline bellicose rhetoric.

While soaring rhetoric inspired when it came from the founding fathers, now, the general population is much less invested in caring about what DC does.

We have been numbed into apathy and ignorance.

I read in the BBC today that the US military actually did a study about tobacco use in the forces and was thinking about banning tobacco consumption in war zones, but had decided against it.

This one sort of shook me to my roots. What kind of government thinks it has a right to prohibit the use of a legal substance in its military? That’s just some crazy and scarily intrusive stuff!

And so, I see clearly on the horizon that our rights to our bodies will be trumped. We will be mandated to live as the government decides proper. Apparently, we’ll be allowed to be high on marijuana, though. That ought to dull the sharp revocation of our freedoms.

So, while I’m as concerned as you are, I think that FIRST we need to list in clear terms those things that the government has done which are in clear opposition to the constitution.

And following that, perhaps a court challenge is in order.

Right now, it seems that some people are fired up (but believe me when I say the general public is ignorant of a lot of this and mostly apathetic) but others cannot sense a clear and present danger to our constitution being presented by the current government and before it can be opposed, it must be articulated succinctly with bullet points and supporting documentation.

If we could get 1,000,000 patriots to march on Washington, I would suggest that, in accordance with our second amendment rights, we all bring our "sporting equipment" with us.

These Tyrants need to know just how serious We, the People, are about protecting our LIBERTY!

FROM MY COLD DEAD HANDS!

I would go and take my family.
My first demo was a tea party but with all this going on I am ready to go to DC.
Hopefully joined by gun right groups
civil rights groups
abortion groups
tax groups
etc
etc
etc

The media could never ignore all of us marching on there and blocking the place.
Obviously it would have to be weekends seeing as us on the right more or less work and are not paid thugs and demo organisers.

Do we as well transfer the federal debt to the states dividing the liabilities by each states population ?

Well, Julia, this is the mission of Free Republic. Those who have some other mission in mind are certainly welcome to go elsewhere. I'd never dream of asking you to sign on to a concept you don't believe in.

We believe in Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.

Constitutional restoration has long been our primary mission on Free Republic.

tell you now and this is from serving

if he tried to ban smoking in the military then that will be another issues which the military will get pissed off with.
We already have homos pushing to be openly homo and yet tell us it is their private business and now smoking.

If we could just get MILLIONS of people off their blessed assurance to VOTE - there would never be another socialist, Marxist allowed to hold the office of President; nor a PROGRESSIVE in charge of the congress.

I’m praying Glenn Beck’s new book, “Common Sense”, and Mark Levin’s new book, “Liberty and Tyranny” - helps a lot of people return to the voting booth.

"...cause eserious . "

It's worked in the past...it's what got the current crop of commies in power, starting in the 60's protests and civil rights marches. It got them their way.

It just depends on how long it will take Americans to get tired of the tail wagging the dog.

I believe that it states in the constitution that the people have a right to gather etc.
So why are these towns and areas telling certain folks they cannot because of permit issues?

I'm in california (keep me in your prayers) and it already sucks to be us.

P.S. Would that be legal, working population? If so, I'd probably be okay.
