Who lie about their grandchild’s address?

Who says anyone needs to lie about it? When some of my cousins were born my grandmother never mentioned the birthplace so an editor at the paper made an assumption and printed that they were born here rather than elsewhere.

Did that editor also pick some false street address to list as the parents' residence?
