I am not "anti-vaccine," but I do want to have the freedom to choose my source of the material, the deliverer, and whether or not the specific disease represents a sufficient risk. For example, if my kid has had chicken pox, I think I'll pass on the vaccine as the risks outweigh the benefits. Similarly, I don't really think vaccinating them for HPV is necessary either. OTOH, if I could get my hands on true smallpox vaccine, I'd do it in a minute.
The choice rightly reflects the balance of risks v. benefits.
