I read the article and see no reason why he should stop. He should continue to argue the fact that Obama has no Authority to tell any troop to fight for the simple reason that Obama is Illegal in his post.

You can't ask for TRO, which is relief from an action if that action is no longer material or relevant. The Army revoked the orders. There's nothing to ask for relief from. The motion will effectively be quashed, even if the Army directly moves for that, or not.

I know people like to see grand conspiracies in everything related to this administration, but this isn't one of them. This is just the Department of the Army dispatching a problem in the most judiciously practical way possible. In this case, a volunteer asked to be deployed, then he filed a TRO to not be deployed. So, the Army to save time and money in Federal Court, retracted the orders. It's not a conspiracy, it just the Army bureaucracy at work.
