As a black conservative, I freely accept all the crap I get on an almost daily basis from the tolerant, inclusive left. I could have just sat back and said nothing, or I could do what O’Reilly will surely do Monday night and do a drive by. I am here facing the music.
Like all family members, there will always be differences, and you all are part of my proud conservative family. But when RNC personnel send out Magic Negro CDs, or our elected make stupid statements, it hurts us all.
Free Republic is VERY important and ANY intolerance must be snuffed out or everything we’re trying to do on the front lines will be for naught. If I’m no longer welcome here, say so.
I have spent years illustrating the hate speech from Kos and DU and will continue to say so, but we all know how our world is. They can use hate speech hundreds of times a day. One slip on our part will be magnified in an attempt to whitewash all they’ve done. We all know this and ANY hate responded to (in agreement or not) should be condemned and not get all victim over it.
I, for one, enjoy your posts and insight.

Give us a break! The thread(s) were pulled by our moderators when the abuse reports started coming in! What do you want? Blood? Public thrashings? Lynchings?
Doubt DailyKos, DU or HuffingtonPost ever pull any of their despicable conservative bashing posts. Well, guess they did pull one after it received national exposure.

We should all redouble our efforts to plonk the clowns who don’t understand basic decorum.
I would hate to see you leave. But please take time to review all the posts which condemned the behavior you rightly find so objectionable.
You know you are right, more is expected from us because we are not suppose to be looking up from the gutter. Our perspective should be one that believes in the inner worth of every human being and the right for him or her to be given equal opportunity to enjoy the life, liberty and happiness for which all men are created. We should argue ideas, not personalities.
And from a Christian perspective, we should keep in mind that we shall be held accountable for all we say and do. And that if we let anger loose our tongues it better be to condemn beliefs and actions which would harm others. Or in defense of those who can not speak for themselves.
Being conservative means believing in the superiority of the individual over that of the State. It means truly practicing the adage that “all men are created equal.” It means not being afraid to speak the truth. Even when that truth is unpopular. And it means never, ever submitting to the groupthink.
Free Republic is Free in more ways than just the name. So please remember this, liberty is messy.

How many times has a conservative senator or congressman been ousted due to "public opinion" whipped up by a flurry and frenzy of bullshit designed solely to affect that opinion, facts be damned? Yet, when dems talk shiite, do deeds that would make any rational person minimally, blush, get caught literally perpetrating criminal acts, both state and federal, they are given a pass. By whom???? By us, because we are way to effin nice and want to lick their boots so they will write nice articles in the paper and present us in a good light next Sunday?
Do you realize how many of the present administration are actual tax cheats, crimes that would put your ass literally in jail?
A R senator cannot even look at a member of the opposite sex, much less make any remark, less they be seen as sexist, racist, homophobic, taking food out of grandmother's mouths, meanwhile democrat representatives run male prostitution rings, and it is OK, because they are after all, Gay.
This country is figuratively and literally coming apart at the seams, with the stimulus bill, the cap and trade, and now the health care bill, and people are worried about what the left may think of our comments on an Internet board?
Screw them, screw them all, and if they were to dress their little darlings like trash, they should be called on it, just like I would expect someone to call me on if I allowed my daughter to go out in public dressed like a skank, a slob, or whatever.
And if she did, and had the presence of mind to know and be aware of her choices, I would accept her being called on it.
