Bill O'Reilly has called Free Republic a hate site and he may now have some ammunition to back up that assertion.

The thread was accompanied by a photo of Michelle Obama speaking to Malia that featured the caption, "To entertain her daughter, Michelle Obama loves to make monkey sounds."

In order to combat it you would need a full time moderator to read the posts before they are allowed to be posted. Politico for example censors its posts.

I just have to jump in here as a mod. There is nothing more satisfying to me than zotting a racist. Well, watching a live chow thread where posters tear apart a racist is pretty fun too. There are tens of thousands of posts per day and it is impossible to keep track of every one. But when we do catch them, racists more than anything are our favorite target to zot. To quote Indiana Jones- I hate Nazis.
It is important that people use the abuse button to report them. This is a community and we all work together. We have the Zot button, but we need everyone’s eyes.
I think people were more upset that Chelsey and Al Gore’s kids got a pass on public drunkenness and pot possession while the Bush girl’s were piled on.
This is just another typical Saul Alinsky method. This comes from the same bastards who said horrible things about Sarah and her family, hypocritical bastards, and Bill O’Reilly really needs to shut his trap about calling this site racist. He should visit the Daily Kooks and see what REAL racists look like

I stand by my accusation. You know good and well there are idiots on Free Republic who do not represent the spirit and intent of this site. It's the nature of posting.

Them why didn't you hit the abuse button and ask them to take them down? I do it all the time and the mods always respond. Especially with racial comments. I wasn't on those treads or I would have done it myself.
