There is a mistake in your article (0+ / 0-)

I hope you will print a correction.

I am the one who wrote the letter to Free Republic and wrote about my letter at Daily Kos, as well as the Free Republic shenanigans with the thread in question. In my post at DailyKos, I mentioned the media contact I had written at Free Republic, whose e-mail is included on the front page of their Website.

Jim Robinson posted my entire DailyKos post over at Free Republic. To my knowledge, he did not post the e-mail address I used to write his media contact nor have I received any e-mails from people at Free Republic to suggest that this was done.

I hope you will at least correct that part of your article.

Thank you.

Sarah Palin is the flirtatious girl in high school who is used to getting a lot of positive attention from boys but is in reality so insecure that she goes psychotic when she gets wind of anyone saying something bad about her.

“What did that bitch say about me? I’m going to get her for that!”

For someone who hints that she wants to play a national leadership role, she will never make it because she cannot get past the small stuff—she cannot let anything go, no matter how seemingly insignificant. In this regard, she reminds me a great deal of Bill O’Reilly.

* CatM’s diary :: ::
*

Examples:

*Palin becomes obsessed with the blog rumors that she is not Trig’s mother and instead of laughing them off as ridiculous whips herself into a media frenzy over them that persists after the election.

*During the campaign, she is advised not to discuss the $150,000 wardrobe at campaign events but cannot stop herself.

*At a rally, a spectator asks about Todd’s involvement with the Alaskan Independence Party and Sarah freaks out, demanding repeatedly that the McCain campaign issue a press release.

*A practical joker redirects traffic from a “crackho” site to the governor’s site and the governor’s office threatens to sue.

*Ashley Judd appears in a Defense of Wildlife Fund commercial on Palin’s wolf slaughtering program, so Palin issues a press release and goes on the national defensive.

*Levi Johnston says on television he slept over and Palin knew about it; she attacks him and his family in multiple press releases and appearances.

*A little known blogger imposes some guy’s head on Trig’s picture, and Palin releases a press statement decrying the “desecration” of her son.

*Letterman makes a tasteless joke; Palin can’t condemn the joke and leave it at that; she issues press releases, appears on TV, and launches Facebook attacks (like some high school girl striking out at a rival on her Facebook page).

*Made repeated catty remarks about Katie Couric and Tina Fey after she lost the election. All Katie Couric did was ask her what she read.

*Even in Palin’s resignation speech, she whines about blogosphere rumors and how her “poor children” have witnessed people mock their special needs brother—something nobody has done.

*To top it off, the next day Palin issues a Facebook “statement” threatening to:

—Sue the blogger she believes is spreading scandal rumors as well as the news corporations repeating them (despite only yesterday getting upset about her $500,000 legal bills).

—Says the media (or is it everyone?) has a double standard because “Other people (read: Obama, Clinton) left office mid-term to pursue a higher calling but nobody takes them to task for it!”

Note how Palin cannot stop comparing herself to Obama—”I’d beat him in a running race!”— or attacking him, as though the campaign continues. She can’t accept that she lost anymore than the wannabe homecoming queen who continues to bash the girl who won the crown.

At first, I thought Palin was playing the beleagured victim card to garner media attention, but today’s Facebook post shows otherwise. After all, she has the spotlight today and could say anything she wanted and the media would have listened. Yet she chose to play victim once again.

Also, she has been going after all her critics, large and small, ever since she had any power to do so:

...four months ago [May 2008], a Wasilla blogger, Sherry Whitstine, who chronicles the governor’s career with an astringent eye, answered her phone to hear an assistant to the governor on the line, she said.

“You should be ashamed!” Ivy Frye, the assistant, told her. “Stop blogging. Stop blogging right now!”

Palin will never be taken seriously on the national stage (something it is likely too late for anyway) if she cannot get past wallowing at the media’s lowest levels, blowing every minute criticism out of proportion.

“It’s so unfair! How can anyone not love poor, little me? The big bad media and the stupid bloggers are beating up on me!”

This woman commands an audience of millions with one phone call to any media outlet, yet she cannot resist fighting back against those whose audiences do not even reach beyond Wasilla.

The hyper-defensive, reactionary, paranoid Sarah Palin is not ready for any position that invites scrutiny or criticism. Can you imagine what she’d do if Hugo Chavez said some of the things at the UN about her that he said about George Bush? Goodbye Venezuela!

Or her ability to handle the numerous investigations launched against Bill Clinton? Or the movies, parodies, and criticisms levied against George Bush? Or the accusations the wingnuts continue to circulate about Barack Obama?

Watch tomorrow for Sarah Palin’s press release on that vicious Kos blogger CatM who unfairly attacked her and her family and her pet dog and the entire state of Alaska and Jesus in this post!

UPDATE:

I just have to add something about Sarah Palin’s stupidity. She threatens to sue the media outlets if they discuss the rumors of a scandal circulating about her but then issues a public statement dispelling the rumors one by one, which means it is most certainly fair game for the media and there is no chance in hell she would ever win a case against the media for repeating what she herself has said. She and her lawyer are morons.
