I hope you're being facetious because there is absolutely nothing "exceedingly offensive" about what she was wearing. At all.

I knew I'd eventually find you claiming there's nothing offensive about the signs and regalia of the National Liberation Front's American contingent.

Those folks were and remain the enemy. It's a symbol of their treason.

It was originally a ground-to-air signal meaning "Stop the bombing." Used to protest our bombing in Vietnam and the whole Vietnam War, and now a sacred symbol for those who want us to act as if we no longer have any enemies.

Yes, there will be peace someday. It's in the Bible. But it is a prophecy. That means it will come in the future. It does not mean we should act as if our desires had already become reality.

That is one of the big differences between the Right and the Left, so it does have a political meaning.
