I’ll remind you that the use of the word “ghetto” does not make one a racist.

It does if the person does not live in a ghetto and your only reason for saying so is something about the amount of melanin in their skin.

The correct spelling is, of course "GETO" ~ according to Professor Cantor who wrote the definitive history of Venice where that term first began to be used.

Has nothing to do with "inner city" folks ~ just a place where people voluntarily gathered and refused to leave lest they be made unclean by outsiders.

The term has been misused in recent times.
