Your post #272.

On walking my dog looking across the river at the United States, I thought I could have been taken wrongly. Yes, Free Republic has to hit back at the bumptious and the arrogant in the Canadian press. They are numerous.

I meant that take these people at their worth. They are like smug little kids, trying to please teacher. Vancouver has it's troubles with the "homeless". A sort of San Francisco homeless scenario. Off loaded them off to decent neighbourhoods to "solve" the problem. Ruined decent peoples lives.

Back to my meaning. Do not unduly suffer over fools and hypocrites.

Actually, in principle I agree with you. I just think we need to pick our fights more selectively. It rather reminds Me of as a youngster getting in a fight with someone and soundly trouncing him, then the next day everyone ‘knows’ that I was trounced. Of course, then another trouncing was delivered whereupon he repeatedly brags about his trouncing Me yet again... you get the picture. I do not mean that we should ignore the jabs, merely that the lesson might be structured in more effective areas. A fractured foot, making someone easily brushed aside, goes a long way towards putting the lie on who actually did the trouncing.
