Because they wouldn't be invited to the DC cocktail parties...you're not important.
This was not to stimulate anything. This was a political payoff for his people. Our conservative leadership has failed to slam him. His policies have increased the economic hardship. We will have inflation, higher interest rates, and a burgeoning debt for as far as the eye can see.
I am so damn tired of these pathetic "representatives" of ours.
This whole Idea of the gubmint creating jobs can be so easily debunked both by history, basic economics and common sense yet all they do is put their fingers in the air to see which way the political wind is blowing.

The recovery will begin in earnest in 2010 when Congress is turned over to the repubs. Three days after they are elected, there will be a big jump in the markets.
