She’s an aspiring ballerina? Actually, they look like bedroom slippers. Maybe she has corns?

Thanks for the clarification -- I had been looking at your post that only showed the lower leg -- but REALLY, people! Lots of folks in every walk of life have a vein visible somewhere on their body! It's hardly something worth sneering at! I enjoy criticizing fashion faux pas as much as the next person, but she can hardly be faulted in any way for having a leg vein showing.

It will be interesting to see if she will be allowed to see the Holy Father dressed inappropriately.
They'll let her in. The Vatican in savvy like that. Mary Robinson, fomer president of Ireland showed up in bright green with no head covering, and she waltzed right in. Which disappointed her, because she was aiming to get turned away.
Then again, I think the dress code rules are antiquated, nothing wrong with preferring longer dresses, but dark and head coverings.....not really necessay. It's a traditional thing with the Vatican, a preference, when in Rome and all that.

Michelle looks like she has been shopping the $3.00 rack at the Talbot’s outlet store.

THis outfit is full of mismatching expensive items. The shirt does not coordinate with the skirt which is way short for a first lady. The shoes are insane. I think she hasn’t a clue. Just goes for lots of color and doesn’t understand the basics. She is a disastor in this outfit.

But wait, cajungirl! Here's the spin from
Mrs.O:
Dressed in a yellow floral Liz Claiborne cardigan and chartreuse pleated skirt, Mrs. O brought a ray of sunshine. Fittingly chosen, Mrs. O wore a beaded brooch from Italian fashion house Moschino at her collar. Update: We've confirmed that Mrs. O's skirt is indeed J.Crew's cotton sateen Gateau skirt in chartreuse.

I could swear the skirt was orange not chartreuse but maybe my puter is wrong,,it doesn’ match no matter where it came from. Hideous outfit,,way to short.
To: cajungirl
J Crew has to be supplying her with free clothes. She should be wearing Saks or Bloomingdales.

"So, let me get this straight: if I buy an Hermès bag for 15 grand and keep it 30 years, it will only cost $500 per year."Right!
All I can say to that is, $500 used to be a lot of money. Sounds like a better investment going forward -- buy a $15,000 handbag today, and get in ahead of the inevitable Obama inflation. If you live another 30 years, Obaminflation may drive the actual cost in equivalent dollars to $25 per year.
