It seems to me the bulk of the illegals work for restaurants, landscapers and builders (note the recent rise of articles lamenting the plight of poor Juan who can’t send money home now that house-building has pretty much stopped, and may have to self-deport himself), few of which are “federal contractors”.

Poor Juan stole a good paying job from an American. Poor Juan can starve for all I care. And may the American contractor who hired Poor Juan end up in bankruptcy.
