I disagree with you, my cousin was paralyzed in a hunting accident and I see no reason why a business should not be made to adhere to the American’s with Disabilities Act...just because you are confined to a wheelchair shouldn’t mean you can’t enjoy a burger.

Go to another place that has room for a ramp, & stop whining. The world doesn’t owe you a clear path to every place on the planet.

Why should other people be punished for someone's disability? That's what this law does. I can understand it applying to government facilities, but not private businesses.

Why not a drive up window with a wheel chair ramp?

So you believe your cousin’s hunting accident gives him or you the right to demand that private businesses spend tens of thousands of dollars?

You can enjoy the burger. You can’t eat it whereever you want.

He can enjoy one at a hundred other joints, just not this one. Better yet, maybe he has a kind Aunt or Uncle that can walk in, buy it, and put it in his mitts elsewhere.

If he cant use his arms and needs to be hand fed, it can be done anywhere.

Sorry if that seems harsh, but I had to see and smell a para’s colostomy bag at a table next to me whilst his parents fed him at a local restaurant. Frankly, life isnt fair and my business shouldnt suffer, nor should my customers, to accomodate this type of client. It’s not owned by the damn US Gov.

I do feel for him though, really.

Good freaking grief.....do you think a wheelchair would fit in that little place???

Your cousin, sadly, can't go into EVERY STALL in a BATHROOM either.....should every one be handicapped???

I’m sorry your cousin was disabled in a hunting “accident” however, why should I as a business have to cater to his special needs out of my pocket? He should hire people to go into the stores and get him what he needs if the store does not cater to those who have “disabilities”.

"just because you are confined to a wheelchair shouldn’t mean you can’t enjoy a burger."

From the looks of it there may be no one enjoying a burger at this particular joint. But the handicapped will have been served.

Your cousin has a tragic accident, so the world should be forced at gunpoint to accommodate him?

I absolutely extend my sympathies to him for his sad event. I absolutely deny that it constitutes a moral obligation for the world to re-form itself to his needs.

I see no reason why a business should not be made to adhere to the American’s with Disabilities Act...

Because, in a sane country, the ADA would be considered wildly unconstitutional.

Although I agree with you in principle some accommodations are completely unreasonable, as in this case.
There are multiple places to get a burgers, your cousin just needs to go some place that can accommodate them.
