That’s not what the author is saying at all. He is saying that Reagan was much better prepared, much better at understanding and articulating the conservative message. Palin doesn’t know the difference between conservatism and populism. She couldn’t answer questions that someone with an interest in politics should have been able to answer.
However she does seem to be infected with that red neck disease called common sense, which I can't say about most of the republican leadership.
Yes. Unfortunately, it is also true of much of the GOP base today. Very sad.
Please enlighten us - I ask because Reagan described himself as a populist - But I am sure that the sagacious Lady Lawyer can dispel any confusion about this.
