Re-reading your post I see you may be saying she just pulled off a “brilliant” move. If so I retract my agreement.

Palin is finished. Her erratic, rambling resignation speech will be the last we’ll ever hear of her, except in the “true believer” quarters where she walks on water.

The American people are not enamored of quitters. And when a quitter tries to sweet talk the American people with nonsense and fluff and deny that she actually is a quitter, it’s an insult to their intelligence.

So, you’ll stop writing about her then?

Doubtful.

Perhaps.

Except that Sarah Palin only "quit" in the way that a young man might "quit" his job in the private sector to enlist in the Marines after 9/11, or after Pearl Harbor.

She is just taking the fight to a different arena -- where she can be MORE effective, as she said in her speech.

With the visceral disdain and fear the left has for her, no matter what happens it won't be the last we hear of Sarah Palin.

That's a boiler plate, mindless, Big Media description of Palin's comments and you back it up with no evidence.

Your comment is empty.

The American people are not enamored of quitters.

And yet they love those teams that know when to "quit" playing defense and put the offense back on the field.

I couldn't disagree with you more.

Nobody knows why she decided that she should leave as governor.

She is a lot of things, but done politically is the absolute last thing she is.

She can do many things now that she couldn't do before. She can write, give speeches, campaign for others, and avoid further frivolous ethics and legal complaints. In 3, 5, or even 9 years she could decide she wants to run for Senate, or even the presidency. As a matter of fact the More Obama gets what he wants, the more viable her future becomes.
