You know I decided that your post deserved a more serious reply, because you make a point that is worthy of discussion amid the baseless and typical barbs I have been seeing, such things as calling her unqualified (vs. Obama et al?) and not worthy of serious people (serious people? like Thomas Sowell?)

Yes, Gov. Sarah Palin stepped down. Does that mean she broke her oath, or respected in the highest possible way?

Does that oath require her to do what is best for her state and its people?

Is your argument then that she stays, costing her state millions fighting all of these ethics charges that would have never ended?

Is it your argument that she would be upholding her oath by remaining in office, distracted time and again by the pettiness of her detractors as they assault her, her family and her political allegiances day in and day out?

Is that your argument?

I counter that.

Sarah Palin acted the best traditions of the true public servant, she did not step down, she got out of the way.

I find it odd that the acts of a truly moral and honest person (Sarah Palin), putting the needs of the people over and above personal gratification (staying in office), are put to question.

Then again, everything seems upside-down lately.
