Exactly! A Christian’s first responsibility is to save his own soul. His most important mission field is his **own** children. He next most important mission field is the children of his own congregation. Once those duties are met then he can look outward.
Unfortunately, many of the bishops seem to have given up on this and have abandoned Catholic education. Families have to take on the burden for this.
