Being fascinated by this idea, I Googled “2-Ton Bomb of Moon” and found that it is really not a “bomb”, but they are going to crash the rocket itself into the moon. A similar project was the KAGUYA explorer. It was launched by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency and it was intentionally crashed into the moon on June 11. Here are some cool HD pictures from that mission.
