WASHINGTON (AllPolitics, May 15) -- Sen. Robert Dole (R-Kan.) electrified Washington today, resigning from the Senate to campaign full time for the White House (256K WAV sound).
"I announce that I will forego the privileges not only of the office of the majority leader but of the United States Senate itself, from which I resign effective on or before June 11th," a choked-up Dole told a Capitol Hill news conference, flanked by Republican lawmakers and a few Democrats. "And I will then stand before you without office or authority, a private citizen, a Kansan, an American, just a man."
...
Republicans, who learned of Dole's intentions early today, were quick to laud the decision. "This is exactly the right thing to do," House Speaker Newt Gingrich told reporters after the announcement. Praising the boldness of the strategy, Gingrich said it was the most effective speech he had heard Dole give. Republican National Committee Chairman Haley Barbour said Dole's decision was "absolutely" right.

Wrong: I'm not and I do.
{Although, right now, my hatred is all aimed at you.}
Congratulations for getting the date right!
I know you’re hurting because your Queen is dead.
I should be more sympathetic to you in your time of mourning.
I apologize.
In time you will be able to move on, though.
Time heals all wounds.
Happy 4th!
Willie would you be kind enough to point me to the post where you said something positive about something, ANYTHING, ever?
I seem to have missed it.
BTW, I see that you and cedric have made friends. How appropriate. You deserve each other.

I seem to have missed it.
Now, it turns out you don't know how to read either.
I see that you and cedric have made friends
Have a 3rd retarded grader read the last line of #116 to you.
You probably are a supporter of that atrocity that runs down Main street in Houston as well.
I should have known.
{it's a Euro semantics thing}
You just did.
Yesterday, there was a duplicate “Palin Exposed” thread and virtually everyone had the right take (they agreed with me).
Funny how disastrously muddled thinking keeps following you around from thread to thread.
If the Law Of Averages ever catches up with you, it's gonna be awesome!
Duncan Hunter’s following mostly went to Huckabee.
Hunter endorsed the Huckster when he dropped out.
Fred Thompson’s supporters mostly went to Romney when he dropped out. So the notion that the venomously anti-Romney PalinChoir are former Fred supporters doesn’t wash. Fred’s supporters had malice towards none.
Plus most of us who supported Fred did so because of his deep experience, wisdom, and knowledge on the issues. That is the antithesis of the Palin phenomenon. Her most vocal supporters are from the evangelical camp, same as Huckabees.
I will buy the whole Duncan Hunter connection. Their stubborn refusal to give up on a no-shot candidate and to viciously trash all the other candidates who actually had a chance seems to be a pattern they’ve brought with them to the PalinChoir.
Even now that she is finished politically, they are still beating their drums.

I am very proud to live in a nation that landed Man on the Moon,
and dismayed by policies that cede technology development and deployment to the Third World.
"Houston.... we have a problem."
Liar. I'm a lapsed Episcopalean - And I'm a strong supporter of Palin. Palin's backers cover the entire range of actual conservatives - those who hate her are the establishment pubbies - weasels with no principles other than proximity to power. I was initially a Hunter supporter but backed Fred when he threw his hat in the ring. And most Fred supporters had no desire to back Romney - most went neutral until McCain won the nomination and then chose Palin as his running mate. Palin was a logical fallback from Fred - what they both have is the ability to speak clearly and plainly, along with integrity, something you wouldn't know if it bit you in your RINO ass.
Lying again. Former Fred supporter here, who can't stand Romney's complete lack of core principles - he says what he thinks needs to be said to win a given election - he reminds me of Clinton in that regard, and one triangulating weasel was enough in my lifetime.
I’m talking about the core of the HuckaBots/PalinChoir and Romney-haters, not every single person who identifies themselves as a member of one of those groups, and was pretty explicit about that.
So you could say “I am one person who doesn’t fit that example,” but accusations of ‘lying’ are a bit belligerent.
I made a general observation, to which of course there are exceptions like yourself.
You act as though I’m talking about you personally. Not everything is about you. You are neither the center of the universe, nor a typical former Fred supporter.
Bullcrap. You made sweeping generalizations, so sweeping that they became lies.
So you could say I am one person who doesnt fit that example, but accusations of lying are a bit belligerent.
Hardly. You were caught spewing b.s., and now you whine about me calling you for it.
I made a general observation, to which of course there are exceptions like yourself.
General? No, you are taking the typical establishment Republican (otherwise known as RINO) approach towards Palin - that only redneck rubes like her.
You act as though Im talking about you personally. Not everything is about you. You are neither the center of the universe, nor a typical former Fred supporter.
Calling you on your lies is hardly making this about me. Instead, it's pointing out what YOU are - typical RINO slime.

Freds supporters had malice towards none. (I guess I stand corrected here, some aparently are seething with malice)
