Yes, ‘useless eaters’ - those horrible sick, elderly and disabled who dare to use public funds for care. Since Obama’s main guy for health care reform is a believer of denying extended care for these ‘useless eaters’, the thought did cross my mind that perhaps Sarah has been called to a different direction - and you gotta respect that.
I recently heard Bob Beckel on the radio reaffirming the thought that health care had to change because it was the last 3 years of a person’s life that cost the most. I don’t recall him saying that we needed to compassionately euthanize those ‘useless eaters’ but the implication was clear. When the first story emerges of a 38 year old mom with terminal breast cancer denied the extension of life to see her kids in order to save healthcare costs, only then will you see an outcry. I only hope we’re not too late.
