Yes, I think Mitt is our best choice- I actually feel even more strongly about it now than I did in the last election, where I also liked Fred Thompson.

I have nothing against Sarah Palin, but she wasn’t a serious threat to get the Republican nomination before today, and she’s certainly not a serious threat now. We just got finished with an election in which well over half of Americans think she was a drag on the ticket as a VP candidate.

It’s complete silliness to think that a party as serious and pragmatic as the Republican party would nominate her as president. But she’s harmless enough- if you enjoy seeing her on tv more power to you. Just don’t tell me that the rambling speech she gave today about being a point guard running against a full court press was any kind of quality performance.

I got $10 that says you live in a New England state :)

...you just don’t get it. She connects with people. Mitt doesn’t. I agree the general election will be a challenge, but the primaries will be a blow out.

Romney couldn’t even beat Huckabee or Mccain in IA and NH, two weak candidates. There’s no way he’ll beat Sarah in those states.

I prefer Duncan Hunter or Tom Tancredo to Sarah but YOU are either a seriously misinformed person infatuated with Mitt--or a lying paid operative to say that--and I'll bet your past and future posting history shows the latter.

Good thing JimRob has already made his position clear about Romney and Free Republic...

Just so there’s no misunderstanding of my intent: FR will NOT be misused by the socialist Romney’s takeover campaign. Keep posting your garbage propaganda, I’ll keep telling the truth about his abortionist socialism!

Sooner or later, one of us is going to get tired and leave FR.

Wow!

Not only are you a delusional fan of someone without any ethical or moral core, you try to re-write recent history in the internet age.

McCain's sorry tired RINO ass was dragged within sight of a victory whose campaign only started receiving serious money after Gov Palin was brought on board.

Mitt man wishes he could draw crowds as large as Palin.

I take it that you're receiving your talking points from the Mitt backroom backstabbing mafia.

Surely you didn't just say that YOU know what over half of Americans think!

I would have NEVER voted for McCain had Sarah (or someone like her) not been on the ticket.

Mitt is not electable. He just isn’t. He has the wrong kind of charisma. He doesn’t do well in the south. He could have practically wrote Obama Care. He us too slick and he is a Mormon. Sorry, he may be a good man but he is not electable.

It’s complete silliness to think that a party as serious and pragmatic as the Republican party would nominate Ford, Dole, Goldwater, or McCain for president. I hope they will come to their senses and get behind Sarah.

Then please explain Bob Dole and John McCain as serious and pragmatic selections, or the party's animus to Reagan before his selection in 1980, and general animus to the Reagan spirit now. They are happy pushing moderate losers and quite uncomfortable with conservative winners.

I’m not a member of the Mitt/McCain party. Mitt gets the nomination and it will be a repeat of the McCain mess.
