Don’t lose faith in Sarah. Trust your initial insticts.

And if you have the chance, read “The Art of War”.

She’s the only reason I voted for McCain.

Same here.

She is the only reason we donated to republicans.

I read it, it’s on my shelf for reference. My dearest wife bought it for me for my birthday.

I agree........she can lead the debate in a HUGE way now. Taking herself out of the running may prove to be a double edged sword on the lefts hatefilled attacks on her.

Notice the most recent spat of attacks from the mccain losers on her........possible the LAST straw for her.

Please get off the Romney comments. Does his name have to appear on EVERY thread? It is really getting old. I think that you are obsessing.

She isn’t going to do if for the GOP, she is going to do it for America. The GOP is meaningless to her. Her speech basically said that more or less. “In or out of the party,” looking for the best people to support.

It ain’t a GOP thing.

Rush and Levin held a secret meeting last week, conservatism is about to make a comeback big time.

The state run media will be challenged by them and the other conservative speakers on the radio. Obama is about to get more than he bargained for and his headache will not be limited to Fox News.

But quitting mid-term really damages her brand.

To some folks it may. I suppose it really depends on what course she sets. I honestly believe Sarah Palin loves her country enough to do whatever she thinks she CAN do to derail the plans of our would-be masters. I hope she can pull it off IF that is her intentions.

I’m keeping my powder dry. I’m just not very hopeful for the Republic today.

I agree. Plus, you guys forget. A mother defends her family fiercely. I want to be part of her “family”.

Sarah was my great hope to flush Obama away in 2012. That hope is dashed, and this is a dark day for me.

I supported Sarah for high office since about 6 months before McCain showed his first set of balls by picking her for Veep. I was one of her biggest fans, and I see that she just blew her chance, and ours as well.

I think you're being a little hard on her. The chattering class is all rushing to proclaim her career at an end, but I'm not so sure.

One thing she said in her speech really stuck with me. She said that she was spending all of her time and her staff was spending all of their time dealing with the continuous barrage of ethics charges. She refuted every one of them, but it reduced her effectiveness. The best thing to do was step aside.

The other thing I'm thinking about is 2010. We have to make some big gains to stop the rush to socialism. By jumping on the campaign trail for conservatives and against blue dogs, she can make a difference. However, she can't do that as governor. Could it be as simple as Sarah putting the needs of the country first?

exactly, whether Sarah ever runs or not, she can now talk and lead the conservatives. If she has success in 2010, it’s natural she’ll run in 2012, if she wants to, or, maybe even better for her family, she is Kingmaker and endorses the nominee and runs herself years, years later

I feel bad for AK, but there are very few conservatives out there talking frequently; so I hope that is what Sarah will be doing for next few years. Rush is great but obviously he is not running for an office.

We have to start in 2010 election cycle. I predict Palin will have a huge impact in 2010 congressional cycle. We can not afford to wait to 2012. Just look at the past 5 1/2 months to see why.

She is going to work outside the beltway political system to get conservatives elected and to help take back our country.

I think you nailed it.
