Yeah, and 40% is about what Palin would get in a rematch against 0bama. That's about right historically for this type of rematch. Your Gallup figures tell us that Sarah Palin was attracted 40% of the vote, and McCain attracted the remaining 6% for their 46% vote share.

The problem here, as you can see, is that 40% < 50%. 40% won't win anyone an election. And Sarah Palin is amazingly unpopular among moderates and independents, who are the ones that hold the keys to electoral success. Because Palin does not appeal to moderates and independents at all, instead she repels them, she cannot win a national election.

Your math still doesn't add up.

You still discount the negativity factor that the EXTREMELY BAD record and POSITIONs on the issues McCain brought to that ticket and suppresed voter turnout.

I've posted this to you several times and you simply ignore this salient fact.

Furthermore, you have no proof that Sarah does not appeal to moderates or independents at all. The evidence, if it exists, is totally anecdotal.

This is an extreme form of exaggeration. It does not do your position any good to argue from this type of position.

McCain had absolutely no fire in his belly to win. He was weak, weak, weak! He showed more zeal when he was trashing Bush.
