Exactly right. I think that Krauthammer is an intelligent man and is always interesting but I have come to question his judgement after his ringing praise for Odumbo. I truly do not know how any intelligent person can be surprised by anything the The One has done. I must question the judgement of anyone who thought that Odumbo would be great and is them surprised. As for Sarah, I love her and gladly support her. But for now she needs to concentrate on being the best governor she can and in time the rest will come. She is not fully polished and needs experience. However, in todays vicious and caustic climate she may never be able to get past the so-called intellectual party elites and the media. I wonder how many of our Founding Fathers would be run out of politics today by the so-called smart class?

"I wonder how many of our Founding Fathers would be run out of politics today by the so-called smart class?"

Actually, the founding fathers were the intellectual class of the day - the haughty aristocrats of the New World. The list of names on the Declaration of Independence was/is a who's who of the colony's most successful entrepreneurs, lawyers intellectuals and captains of industry. The farmers weren't just farmers, they owned and managed the colony's biggest farms.

It's remarkable how many of the framers actually graduated from college - with a great number from Harvard, but some from Yale and William and Mary.

With the exception of New York (go figure), all of the colonies sent their best and brightest to form our new government. The New York aristocracy just wanted to maintain the status quo so as not to jeopardize their access to European power and wealth - sound familiar?
