White House claims N. Korea sanctions are working By Sam Youngman Posted: 07/02/09 03:54 PM [ET]
Even as the North Koreans tested four more missiles this week, the White House said Thursday that tough new United Nations sanctions are showing signs of working.
White House press secretary Robert Gibbs declined to say what evidence the administration has that the most recent round of sanctions were effectively tightening the noose on North Korea, and he warned that they will likely continue with provocative behavior.
"I think it is clear the sanctions are having an impact," Gibbs said.
When asked what the U.S. was doing in response to the most recent round of threats and missile tests from the country, Gibbs said "first and foremost, the administration is working to ensure the vigorous implementation of those sanctions."
"We continue to watch the North Koreans," Gibbs said. "They continue to do and say what they do and say."

It might have something to do with all the t's being crossed and the i's being dotted but I don't know. Maybe after Baker Oscar watches a while longer he'll get it and let us know.
According to Gibbs today..so is the stimulus. It figures that this administration thinks the people in this country are stupid....after all, this country elected them!
Oh and he also said the stimulus is working as well.
This is their new strategy. Just claim what they’ve done is working. The media ports it off to the masses. The headlines and the first few lines of the article tell the masses that it’s working. Then the questions of whether it actually is true aren’t seen by 80% of the people.
They know the masses. All they need is the headline and the media graciously gives them a nice first paragraph (or full story). More than enough to give all the obamabots the happy go lucky feeling and whistle their way over the cliff.

Someone should have asked Gibbs to share with us the “signs that the sanctions are working”. lame MSM
