Wow, I agree that this is a very disrespectful way to treat Old Glory, piled onto a chair, with her elbow mashing it.
I am normally a Sarah fan, but you don’t disrespect the flag like that. Very disappointed :-( Was hoping this was just a malicious Photoshop. It’s not.

Doesn’t appear to be a photoshopped image but rather one that Runners World is taking credit for. Makes one wonder about the thought process if any that went into allowing it to be taken.
That said I’m not surprised at Runners World doing that type photo as you see sports participants using national flags especially in international events.
