The Israel Air Forces F-15 fleet is undergoing an upgrade, with systems that make it better equipped for complex long distance attack scenarios. The systems are being installed in both the F-15 and the F-15I -- a model of the F-15 that was developed by its U.S. manufacturer specifically for the IAF.....the F-15I model is currently being fitted with two new systems one called Barad Pelada (Steel Hail), and another named Lightning.

Bibi’s time table is driven in part by concerns that Russia is considering completing the sale of the S-300 system to Iran - that would cause Israeli aircraft losses to increase dramitically in any attack...

I read several years ago that Israel tracks youths interested in flying from their middle school years and by the time they are ready to fly, they have even determined what type aircraft they are most compatible with.
I have also stated before on here a fascinating bit of trivia--during Gulf War, Israel rotated pilots, not in the briefing room ready to scramble, but in the cockpit. Their AF is formidable--thank God.

The recent fiasco in Iran has shown the Mullahs have no legitimacy. There will always be Israel-haters in the West, but now they are back on their heels.
Does Israel have aircraft capable of flying to Iran and back?
Site definitly skeewonky this afternoon.
Unfortunately in this scenario, Israeli F/A aircraft are USAF types which require a large tanker to refuel. If they had the probe and basket system, used by the US Navy and European countries, they would be a be able to buddy tank.
Tactically, that would be much easier than clearing airspace for large tankers, and they could self escort themselves home.
Yes - at least 60 (or more with limited air refuling - which the IDF is very light with air refulers)
Thanks for the info.
