They are, but that doesn't seem to matter to the voters in their districts.
Take Congressman Wexler D-Fla. He falsely claimed residence in his mother-in-law's home within his district but that home was in a senior community that did not allow children. Wexler had ensconced his wife and children somewhere in the D.C. area where he fraudulently filed for a homestead rebate on his real estate taxes. No problem. He was re-elected by the dumb voters in his district and no charges were ever filed for his fraudulent claim for real estate tax relief.
And, Democrats apparently learn from one another as Congressman Eliot Engel D-NY did almost the exact same thing. He really lives in VA with his wife and children and he too fraudulently filed for real estate tax relief on that VA home while he claims permanent residence in NY.
Is he worried abour re-election? Are you kidding?
Will he be prosecuted for his fraudulent claim? Puhleese!
Only pubs have to follow the rules or suffer consequences. Rats never do. Most likely the only reason the Macks have been left alone by the media is that they’re afraid to throw stones at glass houses.
I knew about Wexler but not the NY guy.
As far as rats making up the rules as they go along and only enforcing them against pubs, today Conyers decided to just drop the investigation against ACORN. I don’t know if that decision had something to do with his wife’s guilty plea in Detroit corruption charges. Actually, she was guilty of dozens of violations, but only copped to one and is awaiting sentencing. I just wonder if ACORN was somehow involved in that case and came through for Monica, so Conyers dropped the charges against them. Or, more likely, he was just giving the pubs the finger.
Oh, I forgot. My question about the Macks being separated was more rhetorical/facetious/sarcasm. Nevertheless, I appreciate your reply and the info.
