No it didn't. It now heads to the Senate, which has been more rational than the House. If the Senate passes the bill with any amendments, the House must vote again (either to agree to the Senate amendments or for convening a conference committee). If this bill becomes law, and nobody resists such a law, then we're dead.
I disagree. I think this attitude is one that has led us down this road. There was a reason Patton was fond of saying he disliked retreating because he didn’t want to pay for the same ground twice.
I trusted that Campaign Finance Reform would never be passed, it did.
I trusted that our country would never elect a marxist, socialist, racist thug like Obama. Ever. It did.
I never thought I would see our representatives...OURS...take a piece of stealth legislation like this, something that will DESTROY OUR ECONOMY AND OUR COUNTRY, and FLY IT UNDER OUR NOSES NEARLY IN THE DARK OF NIGHT AND PASS IT EVEN THOUGH WE ARE AGAINST IT. They did.
And you know what? They are going to nationalize health care too, against our will.
We cannot take false hope that the Senate is rational. It isn’t.
