I just called the office of my Congressman,
Rodney Frelinghuysen (NJ-11): 202-225-5034, and the staffer said he has no opinion on the bill, they just got it. No response to the question as to why he would have no opinion on the largest tax bill in history! I’m surprised because Frelinghuysen took a strong stance against amnesty and thought, mistakenly, that he would have common sense on this issue. Typical NJ RINO.
I called Chris Smith’s office, same RINO no opinion nonsense. Call him at Chris Smith (NJ-04): 202-225-3765
I assume this is the Live Thread for Cap & Trade.
Mike Castle - (R) - 4165
Dave Reichert (R) - 7761
Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R) - 3931
CALL CALL CALL!!!!!!!
As much as I have a problem with him, I still value his job in all this - repeat - repeat - repeat....he does THAT pretty well ;-)
All the DC numbers I tried are BUSY, BUSY, BUSY!
“All circuits are busy at this time, please try again later.”
Call your Congressman now, especially if you live in Democrat district and "politely" inform the cordial phone person you promise, not threat, to actively work to support and and all opposition candidates he may run against in the next primary/general election.
I did and not only did they listen, they took name and address as they are keeping serious tallies of the phone calls and yeah/nay's.
BTTT
Please call Congressman Mark Kirk is still on the fence. Please call him at the Northbrook Office - 847-940-0202. If he votes yes, your taxes go up! Unemployment goes up.
The DC office number is 202-225-4835 but it has been busy all morning!
Congressman Tim Johnson is off the fence and voting NO! Yippee.
>Any representative from an oil producing or coal producing state that votes for this should be dragged out back and beaten to a pulp.
I’m starting to think that’s nearly the ONLY way to effect political reform.
I don’t trust McCain on anything. And he believes anything one of his buddies in the Senate tell him. “Why we’ve been friends for years, he wouldn’t lie to me.” And then he acts all surprised when what he believed was going to happen, doesn’t happen.
Bottom line. He’s a willing dupe and will do whatever he can to undermine conservatives.
Called the 847 (IL) number and it went right through.

wooo hoooo - keep it up!!!!!! We did it on immigration - this is as important - yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just got through to Congressman Mike Castle’s Wilmington DE office. He is still on the fence with the Cap & Trade bill. I told his office I was against it. I can’t think of anything else I can do.
Find your congresscritter here and call them ASAP

Urge them to vote against “Cap & Trade” HR2454 American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009.
Takes two minutes.
Both of us got in on the 202 number...THANK YOU for the info though!!!!
Kirk was at the Luau last nite and may be one of the “Enlightened Eleven” moderate GOP that the dems are claiming they have. Wonder what he got promised in exchange for vote?
Yes, call local offices—impossible to get thru.
When is he up for re-election?
Congressman Bill Posey -R-FL will vote NO on cap and trade according to his office.
“I watched some of the debate earlier...Its sad when Republicans get up there and say Yes Global Warming is real, but...
This is the main problem with Republicans now. They let the opposition frame and define the issue. They shouldn’t even be accepting the premise.
Mark Kirk is on the list - IL and his office was VERY nice...calllllll
