Looking for discussion on the current live coverage of the Cap and Trade Bill on C-SPAN.
I actually have mixed emotions at this point, if it passes I think the Dems will face a real shock in 2010. It might be worth the short-term pain. (Although I guess it cleverly doesn't kick in until 2012, too close even to that election to really influence it.)
100% AGAINST THE BILL.
I hope you are right...My Congressman Glenn Nye office said 50/50.
apparently they aren’t listening.
I watched some of the debate earlier...It’s sad when Republicans get up there and say “Yes Global Warming is real, but...”
Of course, the Dems who got up there gave us dire warnings about how the snowpack melt would flood California, and how Florida would soon be “uninhabitable.”
Is there any politician who supports real science?
WATCHING HOUSE ON CSAPN,,TRYING TO GET EVERYONE TO SIT DOWN. iS THIS THE VOTE/
I agree... I want it to pass. The Dems will be in the wilderness for years to come.
I own a small business and it’s in a sector that is dominated by crunchy libs. And even they are opposed as they know their energy bill and raw material costs will go sky high. And force them out of business.
The Dems will take the fall.
Is the vote scheduled for a specific time today?
Is anybody else getting an error message to the streaming link?
Now they are praising the dead pervert.
Stupid Black Caucus imbecile speaking.
F_ck Off.
Hope it fails. Don’t want to see Pelosi’s plastic smile later. I like seeing her grim.
“Useful” and “Necessity” are always “The Tyrant’s Plea.” ~~C.S. Lewis
Moment of silence for the child molester.
This is such a sad time to be an American.
Today’s vote is only mildly important. The real test will come this fall in the Senate.
Doesn’t it have to go to senate next? Somehow I haven’t been seeing this,,busy lately.
Both reps in Idaho (one repub and one dem) will be voting AGAINST Cap & Trade. Taled to their offices this morning.
Glenn Beck just said the vote will take place around 4 this afternoon.
5PM vote
I’ll go with Glenn every time.
My C-SPAN only shows Jesse Jackson, Jr (the one with the shadow cast on him with Blago-Burris-Pay-to-Play Senate appointment scandal) axing for a moment of silence for Michael Jackson. Looks like the house will debate during the day and vote tonight on the cap-and-trade (fork us and screw us).
