I agree with your sentiment, but it’s possible that a roped-off ER entrance is more functional for the next emergency than is a mobbed one.
Take it easy, there... They're not doing it for hero worship, or to give him different treatment. They're doing it for crowd control, so that actual sick people can still get in. That ER could turn into a crowded shrine in no time if they didn't try to nip it quick. It's a sensible thing to do.
Nobody says they’re not letting people in who need to be there. But if you needed to be there right now, you’d probably appreciate the fact that they’ve got the perimeter roped off to prevent hundreds of crazed fans and “journalists” from swarming in and creating pandemonium in the ER, preventing you and all the other patients from getting the medical care they need.
