In the absence of a conviction in a court of law, they convict in a court of "mind". Seeing within themselves a certainty and a definitive fact best representative of a vigilante mob.

If it were in their power, and had they the guts to act, they would surely have sought to roust Jackson from his bed and hang him for perceived guilt, if only to satisfy their thirst for blood.

These sort are the same who prowl the streets of Tehran, shooting, slashing and hacking anyone who challenges their preconceived notions of right and wrong, good and evil or guilt and innocence.

I think he was very talented, especially as a performer, but when considering the value of a person’s life, you have to look at the totality of their actions and behaviors. MJ became very, very weird starting nearly 15 years ago when he was in his mid 30’s. The baby dangling, the weird marriages and their arrangements, the complaints from minor children and their parents, the childlike home and persona, the plastic surgery, and so on all point to somebody not playing with a full deck. I don’t know if he actually was a pervert or not, but I definitely think there was something to those complaints well beyond just financial shakedowns. I also don’t think that his contribution to pop culture has been all positive, either.
