So singers aren’t musicians?

Singers perform music. Musicians create music.

Michael Jackson was nothing without Quincy Jones.

Jackson did create music. He composed many of his hits.

I must disagree. Many vocalists, especially opera singers but also popular singers, refer to their voices as their "instrument." And not all instrumentalists "create" music in the sense that composers do. But Michael wrote many of his songs, arranged and directed music for a variety of instruments. He was most certainly a musician; and so are all accomplished vocalists.

So songs aren’t music and the human voice cannot be used as an instrument? LoL.
