Shep is a disgrace to whatever's left of the journalism profession.
He is what’s left of it.
Of those who coded in public, as opposed to at home, or unwitnessed, about 40% leave the hospital. That’s less than Seattle-King county because my city has fewer people walking around who know CPR.
My most recent was a 47yo triathlete who arrested at the end of a bike ride, received bystander CPR and was field defibrillated after 12 minutes. I thought he would end up an organ donor, but he got a full neurological recovery, and after a CABG went home asking when he could start riding his bike again.
If a unit patient has a cardiac arrest, not due to a respiratory issue like a dislodged ET tube or mucous plug, you’re right- survival is poor since they usually already have multiorgan failure. Witnessed VF in a post-op or post MI patient has a high survival rate, OTOH.
Your situation is significantly different since you see all comers, many of whom had unwitnessed arrests and may have already been down without CPR for 10-15 minutes by the time EMS arrives.
That’s disturbing. ET should have thought better of running that. He’s still got small kids.
Sorry, but I can't work up any grief.
I have no sad reaction about the death of makes me ill Jackson. The kink of popped hearts.
Thanks much for including me on Your ping lines!! :)
Sad that Farrah passed though,& not reported as widly,go figure. I hope mj’s kids get to experience a more normal life now.
He appeared to be brain dead when we saw him in the hospital, but since I wasn’t direct family, I’m not positive about everything the docs said. It was very sad, would maybe have been less so if he had died and not been in the hospital for several days before they had to unplug him. I think that’s always difficult.
I don’t know, I guess it depends on where the blockage is. I should know this stuff, but it’s been so long since I learned it that I’ve forgotten, clearly.
thanks.
What a day this has been. It’s incredible watching on tv, his body flying over LA. Don’t think I’ve ever seen that before.
Who gets custody. Will they have a chance at a normal life now. Who gets saddled with his debts. What happens to the only thing he still owned of any value, the rights to the Beatles music.
Good questions.
I would hope (if it's not too late) that his kids will be able to grow into sane adults. I doubt if they would have much chance of that had he lived.
Now they’re hauling his carcass all over LA. Looks like the OJ/White Bronco chase.
:-D
Hysterical Sheppie with Breathless Julie B. in Times Square is just too much.
It really is. Now Geraldo is doing his best to make this about him. "I interviewed him ... I was at Neverland".
ROTFLMAO!!!!
BREAKING NEWS: Geraldo is predicting (gasp) an epic custody battle (gasp) for the Jackson kids! "Watch for one of the ugliest custody battles you have ever seen!" (GASP!)
Stop it! You’re killing me.
(There’s nothing like the jonny-retro-maggief standup routines.)
