Flat tax is the way to go
The Fair Tax is a flat tax but on income instead of production. A tax on income is one of the planks in Karl Marx's Communist Manifesto. Communists espouse any tax on income, including a flat tax, because they realize over time they can increase the tax burden on productivity thereby eventually discouraging people from producing/working. The only alternative at that point is to turn to the state for subsistence. That ignores the fact we have already tried a flat tax on income and it has been a miserable failure. It's the federal income tax code. People were taxed 1% on the first $20,000 and 7% on income over $500,000 when the 16th Amendment was passed in 1913. It was essentially a flat tax on income since so few earned more than $500,000 in 1913. It has evolved into the multi tiered increasingly intrusive and oppressive tax code we have today. Any flat tax on income will morph into the same convoluted mess we have today only faster thanks to the thousands of lobbyists in D.C. that didn't exist in 1913.
Liberals LOVE fair tax- that should tell you something is wrong right there
On the contrary, they love the current tax code that creates a strong centralized form of government espoused by Marx and Communists today. The Fair Tax threatens their agenda as it will decentralize government by empowering individuals to decide when and how often they are taxed.

The Fair Tax is a flat tax but on income instead of production. That's just a flat-out LIE.
Why would you post something like that?

No offense, but BS... as I put it on another thread - Proponents of the
fair tax contend that their proposal would have resulted in $358 billion
more revenue than the taxes it repeals.
THIS DEFEATS THE PURPOSE!!! The whole point is to FORCE the Federal government to retract, not get bigger and exact more influence into our lives. Any
proposal that is "loved" by an "Obama organizer" should be of major concern...
And by the way, the communist plank that you refer to is actually more specifically a graduated, progressive tax on income, not simply an income tax. The Fair Tax movement makes no bones about their tax being progressive, too.
