Obama owed the IRS a total of $3,876.52 for the tax years 1987 and 1988, according to a lien filed in the Middlesex South District Registry of Deeds in 1990. Later, the agency filed another lien targeting Obama under the name of Obama O. Onyango, saying he owed them $971.35 in taxes for the 1990 tax year. The registry has no record showing that Obama paid the bills.

My impression is that Omar Onyango arrived from Kenya late in June, 1962, to coincide with his brother's arrival after leaving Hawaii on 22nd of June. They lived together at 170 Magazine Street. Young Omar attended a private high school, and when Barack Hussein Obama was forced to leave Harvard and the US in August, 1964, young Omar was left behind and dropped out of school. Where Barack Hussein obtained the funds to bring his younger brother to the US and place him into an expensive private school remains to be explained.
