Until Barney Frank, the Kennedy’s, Edward and the rest are held accoutnable, who cares?

Let citizens of South Carolina take care of this.

Of course, we can join the Democrats by blasting another of our own over what the Democrats excuse for themselves.

When do we stop letting the Democrats play us like a cheap fiddle over some perceived Puritan ethic?

Concur. He wasn’t running a homosexual prostitution service out of his house, drowned a campaign worker he got pregnant, etc.

It’ll probably stop, when people get over their Puritan ethic.

You got that right DakotaRed!

There are plenty of quitters here to anxious to put down a (R).
It’s a given that we hate it when a (R) does something bad but left will take care of that. We don’t need anymore whining. IMO

If you want to put Sanford in the same category as Frank, Bill Clinton, Ted Kennedy, and John Edwards then I won't disagree.

Perceived Puritan ethic?

Really?

So, the idea that this clown is banging around with his mistress, in a foriegn country, essentially AWOL, is just fine and frigging dandy to you because he’s a Republican?

Virtue isn’t worth throwing overboard, unless you want to be ruled by even more scum than we are now.

I won’t vote for him. I don’t care what he does in his private life —— but I will hold him accountable if he decides to be a public official

Saw a recent picture of Fwanks at a fair or outing. View was from behind and Fwanks had his hand firmly on the lower side of the YOUNG man's buttock. When the press gets excited about this and-- Fwank's prostitution (male) ring run from his home, Teddy killing a young woman whose autopsy showed she was pregnant and who COULD HAVE BEEN SAVED, Clinton's treatment of women, JFK having women in the WH when Jackie was not home, even big family man Bobby Kennedy having affairs, to barely scratch the surface, then they can talk about Repubs.

Sanford's fling was nothing short of IDIOCY. and I spit on him for it. I can't help but wonder if this was a self fullfilling prophecy, that maybe he subconsciously was sick of political life. He is just at the right age for a midlife crisis and fling, so he had one.At least it was not as bloody as suicide by gun.

I'm with you on leaving it to SC to solve.

Well said. We seem to have adopted a perceived “holier than thou” ethic that is impossible to uphold. I admire anyone who remains faithful and takes care of his family, but when we are caught preaching to others, we are continually going to be embarrassed by our politicians.

There are many good GOP people who can not run because they might have had some sort of indescretion in their past. The Dems like Obama can get away with anything in their past, including drug use while we have to walk on water.

Time for us to join the 21st Century.

When? The second you write the Family Values related bits out of the GOP platform, anger all the SoCons and send them packing.

I'm not suggesting that, only saying that that is the answer.

Until then, it's a live by the sword/die by the sword sort of thing, isn't it? If the GOP wants to win by advertising Family Values, this is the result when they stray from them.
