Sin is extremely powerful once it founds a comfortable place in one’s already sinful heart. I’m sure his decision had nothing to do with whether or not his family would be destroyed.
I’m sure he cares for his wife and children very deeply. It’s disgusting what sin can do but.......Gal 6:1 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
This verse is kind of taken out of context here and doesn’t mean he should be governor anymore. My point is, lest thou also be tempted. The power of sin and the wickedness of our own hearts are greater than we suppose sometimes.
the man’s wife cracks and throws him out and he RUNS to his mistress.......I have never, ever broken my marriage vows. it can be done. I have little sympathy for sanford. he made his bed, he pays the piper. he will not go to a higher office.......he chose adultery instead. I pray his wife and boys get what they deserve.
