I challenge FReepers on this thread who are so stubbornly “skeptical” of Governor Sanford, to identify whether they are supporters of Mitt Romney.
I bet there’s an almost perfect relationship, between those so ready to condemn Sanford - and Mittens.

I think Sanford's actions are very odd. I'm not going to berate others andblindly support someone just because they are conservative.
in the spirit of openness, i voted for Romney in the primary only because Fred Thompson had already dropped out, but i voted FOR McCain bc of Sarah Palin. so you can’t use me as evidence of anything. i am not bashing anyone, i am skeptical of Sanford because i have a healthy skepticism of politician’s generally and i find his behavior in this regard ODD at best.
I'm a tentative supporter of Sarah Palin for 2012. I've posted many times my belief that Governor Romney has held his last elective office, anybody who imagines he could be elected President is lost in dreamland.
I still love my boy Rudy, and, as a corollary, I don't care who politicians are screwing as long as it isn't the people.
But I'm really sorry about your guy, and how you found out.
Now, how about cutting those of us who have been saying what's been obvious for the past two days some slack?
