I have always said from day one she has been promoted by infiltrators from the left. They are scared of Romney, not Palin.

Ahem....I never thought I'd see on this thread, that I agreed with fieldmarshaldj but nobody is scared of Romney because he will not get the nomination. He didn't even come close last time, no matter how much money he tried to throw into it.

Meanwhile, she has not substance AT ALL!!!

What are you smoking? What she is doing in Alaska is awesome AND she hasn't changed her mind a million times trying to win an election.

You need to learn not to bash conservatives in order to make your guy look good.

how naive of you to think it doesn’t matter, i guess it didn’t matter that the clintoon was getting BJs from Monica either, that was purely between him and hillary. this man was not fit for public office and he has outed himself, despite those of you screaming about lynch mobs.

You're crazy.

A-Hole John Kerry said, today, “too bad Sarah Palin didn’t get lost along with Sanford.” Tells me they really, really fear her.

I read the changes at NOW, in their election this weekend, are the Palin effect.

He told her five months ago. They haven’t been able to reconcile up to this point.

As for his boys, I’m sure that if the media and the people hadn’t been so hell-bent for a juicy story they would have been told if, and only if, divorce was imminent. They weren’t given that chance.

This is his personal family crisis and I still maintain that it isn’t any of our business. The man is a very effective Governor and that’s all anyone can judge him for. (Unless he conducts that business under the desk in the Oval Office and lies about it under oath.)

“No thanks to Romney! He couldn’t even beat McCain so why would Republicans want him as a candidate?”

Neither could Fred. In South Carolina of all places. But Freepers were fainting over him like teenage girls at a Jonas Brothers concert.

I’m not seeing your point.

Great. I don’t check the news today (return trip from Nashville to central Virginia), and look what happens.

Governor Sanford is more fit for public office than most and his personal life is STILL none of your business.

Your Clinton comparison is a straw-man used by Libs who conveniently forget that he conducted his personal business in the Oval Office, lied to the people about it, lied to his wife about it, and lied to the court UNDER OATH about it. Big difference between him and Sanford.

As for the media, their time is coming. They are in the public arena and have the right to the same treatment they give others regarding personal lives. It’s only fair.

Regardless of who becomes the front runner for the conservatives in 2012 ..... Mitt Romney would be a huge mistake for the GOP of nominating him ( not that the GOP has made bad mistakes in the past on their nominations ) ....
Mitt Romney is a liberal , a flip flopper , and a manipulator.....

so were you a rudy supporter also? baggage isn’t helpful for a candidate and renders one less than fit for office. sanford won’t be going anywhere politically now. infidelity to a spouse IS relevant to voters[conservatives, at least] and is a question of character, whether you consider it so or not. karl rove on hannity stated that sanford wasn’t all that promising as a potential candidate even before this imbroglio came to light.

My point is if the candidates in 2008 couldn’t beat McCain in the primary, why would we even consider them in 2012.

I think if Sarah had run in the primary, she would have clobbered all the other candidates in 2008. I don’t know many people that were completely satisfied with our candidates. It was a weak field. Only when Palin came in the picture as VP, did excitement build.

I agree Rove about Sanford. I didn’t think he had that much charisma before this.

I don’t want to see any candidate that ran in the 2008 primary run in 2012. If they couldn’t beat McCain, then No Thank You!

It was a weak field IMO. I was actually a George Allen supporter before the Dems took him out. I went to Rudy for national security but his baggage personally was way too much to get elected and way too soon after his divorce and remarriage as it turned out. None of our candidates seem to have the fire to win. Only fire came out of Sarah Palin as the VP who drew the large crowds.

What do you mean his personal life isn’t anyone’s business? He left his job for 5 days with no way to be reached - broke security by ditching his body guards... of course he made it our business when he lied and cheated his constituents. He also made it our business when he preened and put himself out there as a family values man - he lied and it does affect all of us who do want someone in office who has family values.

Funny to see you agree with anything Rove would say since you castigated him and President Bush while you were in your Rudy loving stage.... and Rudi’s baggage at the time didn’t seem to bother you at all. If I recall correctly you said the country was moving to the center and we needed to give up the social conservative views “Own the center” was your rally cry, to be exact.

Oh please! Will you stop it! I quit supporting Rudy a long time ago and quit posting on here for a long time when I was supporting him. BTW, owning the middle is a statement that we need to get Indy’s to win. There are not enough conservatives or Republicans to win outright unfortunately. Whoever owns the middle wins and it has been around for years and didn’t make it up. It has been a well known fact that Republicans run to the right in the primary for President and in the middle to win. You should bone up on history before attacking. Been a consultant for a long time and that’s what you tell candidates. If you are outnumbered you have to run to the middle to win.

I have always believed social issues are state’s rights issues and it has nothing to do with Rudy. It has to do that I don’t think abortion is a national issue but one that should have been left to the states. What they do in MA, should not affect what we vote on in Oklahoma.

I still don’t appreciate Rove for his 2004 when he wouldn’t support Coburn but it doesn’t mean I don’t agree with him from time to time. Yes I was mad at Bush in 2006 when he came out and Congratulated the Dems when they won and how he could work with them. As a long time supporter along with others who worked his campaigns, we felt betrayed just like they betrayed Dr. Coburn but he won anyway.

Get over it! Rudy LOST Big and I didn’t cry over it!

Our candidates were louzy period when McCain could come out the winner.
