MISSION VIEJO, Calif.—Cyndi Orel worked as a police officer for 25 years and never caught a bank robber. She was apparently saving that hobby for retirement.
The retired Long Beach police officer foiled a bank robbery at a grocery store Saturday when she put a 220-pound bank robber in a chokehold until he passed out. Orel is about 5 feet 7 inches and 128 pounds

Hey, give him a break! He probably spent most of his life in prison with little time to forge a productive career. On second thought, if he had already committed eight bank robberies he seems to have been pretty successful in this career. Only problem is time outs can be lengthy.

Having bank branches inside grocery stores is common in the western US.
It’s hard to build up that retirement nest egg when you only work a few months every five to ten years.
He needs to find another line of work.

They say the photos aren’t shopped but there is something strange about the one on the left. Look at the region to the right her leg that’s closest to the tiny woman. There are what look like some discontinuities. I saw these photos some years ago and that one bothered me then.
