You can get official reproductions that would be printed in today’s style. That being said... I don’t know what to believe. I don’t want to look like a “9/11 Truther” but that’s not saying I disbelieve this story either.

Those are not reproductions, per se. They do not contain all the information on the original 'long form' certificate. They are just print outs of a portion of the information on file in the state's birth records database. That's what a "Certification" of Live Birth is. Another term for it is an "abstract" certificate. For some purposes and in some situations, abstract certificates may not be accepted as proving place/date of birth. For example, the state department won't take one if the time between the date of birth and the date accepted by registrar is more than a year. The State Department also won't take abstract certificates generated by 2 or 3 of the states, because the information shown on them is insufficient, or even incorrect, such as only showing date filed, rather than date of birth, or showing the place of filing as the place of birth.

But the alleged COLB posted by the Obama campaign is an electronic forgery, so it hardly matters.
