I've always wondered about that. It seems that whoever made up the BC wasn't aware that Negro was a term that was not considered derogatory, it simply meant race. Putting African is kind of like putting British or Canadian, not a race identifier. My guess is that one of his 30 something folks had at it, kind of like the fake GW Bush military document...all wrong formatting but you had to be alive and working in the military environment to know it.
