In Persian, Neda means divine message or voice. Search the bold text and you will see her look into the camera in one last pleading and defiant act.

At 19:05 June 20th, Place: Karekar Ave., at the corner crossing Khosravi St. and Salehi st.
A young woman who was standing aside with her father watching the protests was shot by a basij member hiding on the rooftop of a civilian house. He had clear shot at the girl and could not miss her. However, he aimed straight her heart. I am a doctor, so I rushed to try to save her. But the impact of the gunshot was so fierce that the bullet had blasted inside the victims chest, and she died in less than 2 minutes.
The protests were going on about 1 kilometers away in the main street and some of the protesting crowd were running from tear gass used among them, towards Salehi St.

May God hear my prayers for the soul of Neda, the divine message. May He give her peace and the freedom that she died seeking. May He also bless the ones who bring the light of truth to my eyes, so that those who seek darkness fail.
al, that is a very prescient point.
The day may soon come where we have to fight for the rights endowed by our Creator. The yokels in DC seem intent on taking everything away from us, under the guise of “crisis”.
Add to it.
I’ll bet over 50% of Iranians could give a crap about Islam and want out. The Shah ran a secular nation for years
So condemning Iran as though it is 100% Muslim is wrong
Arabs are very brainwashed by Islam
The Persians much less so
Cindy Sheehan was in town and of course, code pink mother went right over to spend money buying whatever they were selling.
Amazing that my mother was deflecting off of criticism of Iran by countering with Iraq, without a thought as to how the Iranian people, esp. women are treated over there.
The silence of the libs over what it happening now is DEAFENING.
Savage was right, Liberalism is a Mental Disorder.
“prescient” I had to look it up. I knew I would learn something new today. I think those events will come to fruition sooner rather than later
Despite its horrible history over the past many decades, I have faith in the Iranian people to achieve a Western style democracy and to have a highly civilized society. In particular, I am a huge fan of Iranian doctors....
A few years ago my then-20 year old daughter boarded an American Airlines flight out of Heathrow when fatigue hit and she asked for a glass of water. Instead, she was kicked off the plane because, to the stewardess’s eye, she looked sick. She was left, with absolutely no help or guidance, from AA. So you have a 20 y/o USA citizen kicked off an American carrier at the world’s busiest Airport and no way to get home. That was the only flight out of London that would allow her to make her connection that day.
She sat down in the middle of Heathrow and cried. The ONLY person in that bustling terminal who came to help her was an Iranian doctor. He got her the water the AA stewardess refused, talked to calm her down, let her use his cell to call her friends in London to arrange an overnight stay, even bought her tube ticket to get back to the city. Then, called me to let me know what had happened and that she’d be ok. He followed up the next day to be sure she’d made her flight.
You reminded me of WACO. Looney lefties thought it was better that the Gov. kill innocent kids, rather than wait out the standoff.
The video of that young woman dying absolutely broke my heart.
I have studied WWII history for 20 years and only read of such things but now here it was, before my eyes, another of a people dying to be free. God help them!
No, the revolution will not be televised. But it will be ‘Tubed and Twittered.
May God be with the people of Iran in these days.
And I gotta say, if BBC or CNN or SKY or FOX had the balls to air that video, the Iranian regime would fall.
I have never seen anything so powerful. Neda stood there and some bastard sniper shot her down. She barely had the time to know she was dying.
I remember all the times we have had to hear that we are the “Great Satan”. It is unfortunate that she died, but it is none of my concern.
An amazing display of textbook bigotry.
Sickening.
Ah, Iran is a Persian country with a Persian heritage. The Islamic regime was imposed on the people. If this turns into a full revolution, it is my hope that the imposed Islamic regime will be a thing of the past, and Iran can be restored with its Persian culture.
I think Iran is filled with young people who just want to live their lives in prosperity and freedom. Probably the vast majority want no part in nuking Israel or the US. Totalitarian states always paint a BS picture of how much support they have.
Ever read "Not Without My Daughter"?
So do I. I will never forgive.
AND besides that, praying for someone that is already dead is useless. Only some Catholics and a lot of Mormons believe that but it is not scriptural at all. Pray for the families to be comforted yes.
While people all over the world are fighting for freedom... we’re giving our’s away.
May this child rest in peace. She has known enough horror is her short life. May God bless her.
