The Supreme Leader in Iran is speaking this very moment and is televised on TV (I’m watching CNN, as I was watching a rerun of Lou Dobbs and then just as his program was ending and Anderson Cooper’s program was about to begin and I was about to turn the TV off, they came in with breaking news and the Supreme Ayatollah was on speaking to a bunch of his brownshirts and paid thugs (just like Hitler’s SS AND SA). He is blaming everything that is happening in Iran on the U.S., the Zionists, the Europeans, and others for stirring the pot over in Iran and causing the demonstrations that have been taking place for the last 6 days straight. It appears that Mousavi, contrary to the Supreme Leader’s demands that he appear with the Supreme Leader as a show of “solidarity”, is not there. Hahahahahahahah.
Oh jeez, now some of the “audience” are crying, as the Supreme Leader whines about being handicapped, and pleading with the crowd to back him. Saying he gave his life to the revolution. Asks for support and prayers of his followers. they are all standing and waiving their fists and saying they will give their life to the cause of their leader. Earlier the crowd was chanting “Death to America”. He’s done now. Now he’s hobbling off stage, to show how handicapped he is. He was speaking at a University. Went on for 2 hours. They only televised the last part, the grand finale. The first part was the “spiritual” part. Now Christiane Amanpour of CNN is analyzing the speech. Says the Supreme Leader blamed the arrogant world media. Said worst offenders were the British, then the U.S. and Obama (hahahah), and said the idea that a “velvet revolution” like in the Ukraine was happening in Iran is a mistaken view of the West.
Said about election, there were differences among candidates, differences of view. Says should not think election was counter-revolutionary. All 4 candidates could put their viewpoints across. Praised Rafsanjani (former leader who backed Mousavi), which is odd. Trying to molify the opposition with feint praise. Said street demonstrations must stop. Must use legal methods, otherwise those out on streets will be responsible for the consequences (veiled threat). Says how can you talk about cheating with only 11 million votes difference. Says challenges should be taken up with Guardian Council. We shall see what tomorrow brings. Will there be more mass demonstrations by the opposition? We will soon know.
The Surpeme Leader would blame even a tuna fish sandwich for the protests, this is how paronoid they are.
“Said about election, there were differences among candidates, differences of view.”
Funny, that’s exactly how Obama described it—a “dispute.”
